If the 1% feed the masses enough "entertainment" on the telly or internet and endless cheap, GMO-modified junk foods, we'll all become distracted and too fat to get off our backsides to protest our living conditions. Perfect way to keep us all in check since we do it all by ourselves!<br /><br />Perhaps in the next hundred years, the junk food and telly will become too expensive, so denying basic necessities like healthcare will work instead? The 1% try to foster a sense of h...I totally agree. The 1% try to foster a sense of hopefulness in the rest of the population - a hope that the poor person too will one day be rich like the 1%. It helps to foster that feeling, because when sheep can herd themselves, there's no need for dogs to control them. Give people enough booze, TV and sports to distract them and they'll be happy.
