Be it ever so humble...

...There's no place like home.

I'm feeling a bit stressed this week due to our recent move, so please forgive my absence on this blog. To see other photos of what I'm talking about, check out my handsome hubby's AJ's Table blog

If one more appliance (dryer) doesn't fit in its intended space (i.e. laundry closet) I swear I'll go postal and take a sledgehammer to a wall. Preferably the ill-located wall in said laundry closet. ;)

Please share any helpful moving in tips you may have in the comments section below. Any kind of joke or entertaining comment... I could use all the funny distractions I can get!

I find that the moving process is helped enormously with several glasses of wine strategically placed around the house. Every time you wonder "What the F*CK was I thinking?", you can take a large swig and life just seems better. That's why my last move took several weeks to complete. But I kept my sanity.

This is a very good suggestion, Zo! I'm just afraid the next day after the night before the problems would all still be there and I'd be hung over. But maybe I wouldn't really care? Hmm, there's plenty of drive-thru liquor stores around here I've not checked out yet... ;)

Moving house is generally rated one of the most stressful experiences in life. Having gone through what we went - or are still going through - I totally understand why! Chin up, the chore won't last forever.

Just make sure the wall isn't weight bearing or you open up a whole new can of worms (wonder where that saying ever came from). Just think about how when it's all over, you can curl up in the comfy chair with some soft cushions (obligatory Monty Python reference)and relax :)

"Put her in the comfy chair..." I do need a Python fix now and then. :)

Yeah, we need to get a handyman/carpenter and possibly a plumber in here to look at the laundry closet. Trying to find a reputable one is another matter--so any suggestions on that topic are appreciated! ;)

If you're in the far north Chicago suburbs, I know a good guy. Hugs, Rochelle Weber.
